ANYTHING GOES CSF CHALLENGE
This is my small effort for the Anything goes Callenge on Craft swap forum. this quarter is animals. as i was having problems downloading onto the forum Bucket, thought i would put it in my blog. originally i was going to attempt an exploding box. but made a baby box for my brand new Great nephew instead. and thought this little mouse stamp set i bought recently would be good to use, as the theme is animals. i have stamped the mouse onto various textures and colours of card then layered each cut out section over the top. i have her holding a needle as she is busy sewing a wee piece of work. i stamped and enbossed the leaf pattern then stitched a few of the leaves to help Mrs Mouse with her stitching. boy has she been a busy wee mouse.

DECO CARD
I love art deco and wanted to do a card in this style. this was a cd i bought and decided to make multiple copies of the image and decoupage. the tricky bit was the fern and trellis behind the ladies, by the time i was finished there were quite a few layers. but i liked the overall look, and dimention to the image. yes, i can say i was pleased with it when it was finished.
Exploding Baby Boxes
this is my first ever exploding boxes, they are baby boxes. a fellow crafter gave me a pattern for the boxes and the shoes, which i had not tried before. after solving a problem i had with the shoes, they gave me the idea for the boxes. actually my neice just had the families first grandchild, so wanted to make something special for the baby, and thought about doing a baby box. that one was in blue. I then thought about going to local shops to sell them for me. they were well received, one shop asked me for boys and girls. i have done the girls in Pink and gold, and the boys in Blue and silver. my local flower shop, are displaying them for sale for me. more pennies equals more stash. Yipee! we all love more stash.

Card
This is a card my friend asked me to make for her mum. i miniturizes images which i then decoupaged, put into aperture cards with bubble fronts and made shaker cards.
i cut out the lettering and added some bling to the letters. finishing off with a cut out flower. which i secured together using a brad. thats a couple of cards i have made using these sorts of colours and i like them. i used to always chalk my card fronts. but the papers give quite an effect. good job too, i have hoarded sooo much paper, thought i better start using it.

Baby Card
these were 2 cards i made for my neighbour. her son's wife had just given Birth to their first grandchild, and i thought i would make a card for Isabella and one for her son. i decoupaged the images and made shaker cards putting the babies name inside the apeture window. these were the first baby cards i have ever made. so it was a challenge for me. at least i can say i have made a baby card now.

Craft Box
This is a wee craft box i made for Calvin. i have got him interested in crafting. so for his birthday i bought him a lot of craft stuff. so thought i would make him a box to put his stash in. he loved it. especially the stamps, inks scissors and gems i put inside. well thats another crafter been introduced to the club.
Happy crafting Calvin.
Happy crafting Calvin.
CALVINS BIRTHDAY CARD
This is a card i made for my husbands Godson. he loves cars, so thought i would go for auto theme. the BMW is decoupaged. i also made a map of his street and put the card over the top. he loved the fact he could see his street. this was one card that was a big hit.
Birthday Card
This is a Birhday Card i made for a friend. i decoupaged the image and used silk material printing papers to do the final segment which was the dress. i wanted the image to be tactile, and i feel i achieved this with the dress being material. the papers i used behind are the new Laura Ashley papers, which i picked up at ink spots craft store, in Hamilton in Scotland. i really wanted to use some of the paper, and although it's patterned i dont think it over powered the image. something i was afraid of. all in all i'm happy with this card.
80th Birthday Card
This is a Birthday Card i was asked to make for an 80th Birthday. i started by covering a white card in this lilac, which i then matted and layered. i decoupaged a rose for the front and made some little butterflies which i stamped and embossed onto vellum. this card was quite time consuming. but enjoyable.
POEM ATC
This is an Atc i made for a recent swap with a fellow CSF crafter, Chrissy. the theme was to be poems. and being scottish i thought it appropriate to do a Robert Burns one. the ATC folds in and is tied with tartan ribbon.

CSF Birthday Challenge
This years Birthday Challenge at craft swap forum was to design an envelope and card insert to celebrate our fab forums 2nd Birthday. My Team is called Six Pistols, and our Virtuous Leader is Linda. our theme is floral, and having just aquired the cricut expressions thought i should try to use it for my insert card. i had originally made my envelope using the cutter, but thought, "wee bit too fussy". so decided to go with simple instead. the paper pattern is made using my cupcakes cd. and the wording and the flowers are with the cricut. i decided to make my envelope simple as well, tying with cream silk/embroidered rose pattern ribbon. with a few wee flowers on the reverse, didnt photograph the other side. the paper again was made using my cupcakes CD. and i edged the flap of the envelope with cutting machine.
still havent decided wether to put a butterfly on insert or envelope, will have to decide soon as im posting it tomorrow.
anyway thats my attempt, well the eventual one i settled for. our book is for charity, so i wish our Team and the other teams at CSF well when the auction starts for the finished books.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.

MOTHERS DAY CARDS
These are 2 cards my friend asked me to make her. one for her mother, and one for her mother-in-law. i used the Joanna Sheene sillhouette CD to create my images which i then Decoupaged and added some flower soft to the little baskets at the corners. and to the little flowers in the girls basket and around her.i used another Joanna Sheene CD to create a picture frame which i thencut out and applied to the scene with 3D foam strips. i then made little butterflies on the computer and printed them to vellum which i cut out and decoupaged and attached to the front of the card. I applied some rennie mackintosh peel offs to the top/bottom edges and corners of the bottom card. On the top card i used hand made paper which was a duck egg blue with silver metalic swirls. I matted, layered / enameled the little mothers day poems and attached them across the bottom of the decoupaged images, and applied little butterflies to the corners of the poems.

MY PAPERARTSY SWIRLY HEARTS
These are the little Heart Fat Pages i made using the paperartsy squiggly heart stamp Simon demonstrated on the craft swap blog. when i saw the work simon did, i thought i love those hearts so off i trotted to the paperartsy website, and hey presto i found the squiggly/swirly stamps. although i loved them all, i had a sensible moment and thought no, i dont need any more stamps.... Well i did say it was a sensible moment, and a moment it lasted. Then I ordered the stamp. so here goes. i used different scraps of paper and different embossing powders to see what sort of effects i would get. and i was not disapointed with the results. i attached little glass stones to the swirls. the backing paper on the Fat Page was a load of paper i bought from QVC a while ago, but, didnt really use any. i thought this time around they went with my little hearts. i used my crop-a-dile to punch holes around the page, and threaded thru some fibres Ann-R bought me a while ago. i am pleased with the result. I really didnt have a decent heart stamp...... I do now.

ATC for Craft Swap Forum Buddie
these where little buttons i had purchased. i liked them but whenever i went to use them i thought no. i like them too much. then i was sending an ATC to a Craft Swap Forum buddy so thought hey! time to part with these guys. as i had just started to play with alcohol inks, i had made some little cards using the inks. so set about putting the trimmed and filed buttons onto the card with 3D foam. so what theme i thought. Then hey presto. you know, one of those little crafting ureka moments. after remembering the time we went to Ayr beach the seagulls over head as we tried to have a picnic. that would be my theme. so my little open air picnic ATC was born.

CONTACT BOOK
I decided it was time to make a little contacts book. with details of all the crafting buddies i have made on CSF. i covered my book in yellow card, which i then distressed with chalks and gold rub/buff. i stamped my fav renniemackintosh stamp, embossed it in silver, then coloured using H2o paints. i used my crop-a-dile to punch holes and threaded through ribbon. i attched some metal charms, one for each of my dogs, and a wee bone for them to nibble on. i also attached a heart and key (now guys dont get nausius here) the heart represents my heart and the key is the key to my heart. these items where for my husband. thus i covered everyone in the house. what about the bells! did i hear you say, re the little bells? well they are for New YEAR remind me my resolution to diet . shh dont want to say that bit too loud incase i faulter.

ALCOHOL INK
This is my first alcohol ink i have used. the bottles have been sitting for, well lets just say a wee while. i am limited in my colours so will have to invest in some more. i think i like this alcohol ink thingy, and want to experiment with more. any suggestions on tecnique greatly appreciated. i used tracy's video as my teacher. heres to a generous crafter.
OUR FIRST FAT BOOK PAGE
FAMILT TREE
This is O/H family tree. he always wondered where his name originated so i thought i will see where his family came from. this started me on a quest, to see how far back i could get. 1stly online at Scotlands National Archive, then visiting the Archive in Edinburgh, we searched through parish records in microfilm. eventually we were able to get back to 1678. this is where it stopped in a graveyard in Dunbar on Lothian coast. it would seem my husbands family had a long tradition as fishermen. this family tree bussiness is sooo addictive. the more you find the more you become intrigued and the more you want to find.
OUR DOGGIES
This is a page of our guys passed and present. 1stly we have Candy the yorkie she was a great wee dog. gave us a lot of joy. then we have angus the collie (we call him the auld man) he is approaching his 17th Birthday. next we have cheeky Brodie the cairn. the guys deserved their own page, as they have given us a lot of joy over the years

CANADA VACATION
This is our trip to Canada, Vancouver to be exact. we went to stay with my Aunt and Uncle. this was a good holiday, for one special reason. It meant i could see my cousin Ron who is too ill to travel. and i hadnt seen him or his brother Paul since they were Kids. sadly and suddenly my cousin Paul and Uncle passed away 4months after our trip. so this trip holds special memories. we had a lot of laughter on this trip. this was 8weeks where we crammed happy memories, and recalled high jinx when we were kids.
in memory of Paul and Uncle Joe. was like ye,

This is the first page of our Las Vegas trip. boy did we have a ball. this was a xmas present i bought for Other Half in 1999. we look back on this holiday with fond memories. the sights, the glitz, oh my goodness The Shopping.
this is a vacation we return to constantly when reminising about our trips.
i only wish i was crafting then, as i could have brought some crafty goodies back.

HOLIDAY PAGE
This is one of our vegas pages. i picked out the photos i wanted to use, made little captions for some of the photos, and added some large lettering. i couldn't decide which photos to use, so thought i would do a collage of my favourites. each photo had a special meaning for us.
i would have needed a whole album just for holidays, so decided to reduce sizes of photos and used best ones.

Xmas Village scene ATC
I wanted to include this little ATC in my first blog pages, this village scene i decoupaged i then used glow in the dark gel to highlight the windows and street lights. so that when viewed in the dark it would glow. i reacently made a christmas card using the same tecnique using the gel in the lamp post of the card. but this ATC was the first time i had thought about using the glow in the dark gel. of all my xmas ATCs this one was the most asked for.
Little birdie New Year Card
This is the little birdies New Year Card i made for my brother. i felt by using the birds rather than the obligatory christmas scene i wanted to create something which symbolised new beginnings. ie new growth. i used the corner punch to decorate edge of pearlised card which i then embossed with background design. i chalked the card using glimmer chalks. applied peel off corners and New Year Wording. i used the same pearlised card and attached the name which i then layered with mirri card and attached using 3d foam. to give a raised affect. i enjoyed making this wee card. hope my brother likes it.
inside New Year card
This is the inside of the little birdie New Year card i made for one of my brothers. i used the Xcut corner punch, removing the side bars to enable me to punch around the paper. i overlapped the paper slightly at each end as the paper was two toned, being darker blue on the reverse. I never ever used corner punches before, that is before i knew you could remove those little side bars. love em! love em, love em.
